Rev’d Murray Fysh comes to the Merthyr Road congregation from being the Manager of the Pastoral Care Department at The Wesley Hospital. He was in that position from 2010 to 2016. He has been a Presbytery Minister, congregational minister and a youth worker.
Murray is passionate about the church being relevant, advocating for justice, and being a visible force for good in the community. Murray is focussed on showing God’s love and care whenever there is a chance. His personal belief is captured in the statement of Jesus to love God and to love others.
Murray is married to Rev’d Dr Wendi Sargeant, chaplain at the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital. They share ownership of the fabulous Pippa the dog. He is an ardent Broncos member and supporter.

Helen Prior comes to Merthyr Road with a wealth of pastoral experience with people of all ages and across a broad demographic in rural and urban communities, hospitals and aged care facilities.
Debbie is the friendly voice at the end of the phone in our Parish Office. Working three mornings each week, she can help with all manner of enquiries about what is happening in the parish. Debbie also handles hall bookings and keeps things running smoothly in the parish.
Kathy brings a wealth of business and financial experience. She has a business degree from QUT and has worked in many different sized businesses from small to large enterprises, including running her own businesses. She joins us two mornings a week to look after the financial side of things for our congregation. She is interested in anything animal related, the environment, volunteers with the SES and is passionate about financial education. Kathy is on the committee for Brisbane Residents United, a local group that scrutinises planning decisions by local and state government.
